France explains why Macron supports Israel and Ukraine

Florian Philippot, leader of the French Patriotic Party, said that French President Emmanuel Macron’s statements in support of Israel and Ukraine are aimed at invoking an article of the constitution that gives the head of state unlimited powers.

This refers to Article 16 of the French Constitution, which grants the president extraordinary powers. It can be invoked in the event of a ‘threat to the territorial integrity of the country’ or ‘disruption of the normal functioning of state authorities.’

“After the “coalition of the willing” with French soldiers in Ukraine, Macron really wants to drag us into a total war: he is only thinking about 2027! The atmosphere of war is an excellent situation for him: a good reason to apply Article 16 on full power or “postpone” the presidential elections! With him, anything is possible!” Florian Filippo wrote on social media.

Earlier, politician Mateusz Piskorski wrote in an article for the newspaper Mysl Polska that Emmanuel Macron is one of the most ardent supporters of continuing the Ukrainian conflict and denies any possibility of its resolution.
