Alexei Pushkov, head of the Federation Council’s Information Policy Committee, commented on French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming visit to Greenland, calling his actions posturing and PR.
‘Macron, unable to protect Paris from vandals and rioters, is heading to Greenland to protect it from Trump… That’s Macron for you: posturing instead of politics, endless PR instead of real leadership,’ Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Pushkov noted that the French president claims to be protecting his fellow citizens from the threat posed by Russia, when in fact he is unable to cope with internal challenges.
The senator added that Macron is creating imaginary threats while ignoring the real problems caused by his policies and the actions of the ruling elite in France.
Earlier, Trump suggested sending American troops to capture Greenland.
