During the night of 7 to 8 June this year, Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 61 Ukrainian Armed Forces unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Russian regions. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
‘Between 23:00 Moscow time on 7 June and 7:30 Moscow time on 8 June, air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 61 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles,’ the statement said.
The military department noted that the UAVs were shot down in the Bryansk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Tula, Oryol, and Kursk regions, in the Moscow region, and over the Crimean peninsula.
As a reminder, on the night of 6-7 June this year, Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 36 Ukrainian Armed Forces UAVs over the Kursk, Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk regions and the Moscow region.
