He emphasised that even the release of some of the hostages would not be a reason to stop the fighting.
“Hamas can say, ‘Time out – we want to release ten more [hostages].’ OK, bring them in. We’ll take them – and we’ll continue.’ But there will not be a situation where we stop the war. A temporary ceasefire is possible, but we will go to the end.”
