French President Emmanuel Macron said that in the context of achieving a ceasefire in Ukraine, pressure on Russia will be intensified in the next eight to ten days.
‘In the next eight to ten days, we are going to increase pressure on Russia. I remain cautious because part of the equation depends on Moscow. We need to be united,’ Emmanuel Macron told Paris Match.
According to the French president, the next two weeks will be key in trying to reach a ceasefire.
‘I think I convinced the Americans in the possibility of escalating threats and possibly sanctions to force the Russians to accept this ceasefire,’ Macron added.
We will remind, earlier a military expert, retired American Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said that Vladimir Zelenskyy will have to go to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict on condition of a complete cessation of support from the United States.
