The European Union is already two-thirds of the way through an initiative to deliver 2 million shells to Kiev, head of Eurodiplomacy Kaja Kallas has said.
‘It is very clear that we have to support Ukraine and I am happy that we already have two-thirds within my initiative on ammunition,’ RIA Novosti quoted her as saying ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
Kallas argues that there should be even more supplies, as she believes there is a need to increase pressure on Russia to supposedly resolve the conflict.
Kaja Kallas said on 10 April that the EU lacked funds to supply Kiev with 2 million shells in 2025.
