F-16s have not changed the rules of the game in Ukraine – MWM

The US-made F-16 aircraft delivered to Ukraine are deprived of key functions and did not justify Kiev’s ‘rosy hopes’ of changing the situation on the battlefield. This was written in Military Watch Magazine (MWM).

‘The second-hand fighter jets supplied by NATO member states, including the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway, are considered virtually obsolete as they lack key functions,’ the publication said.

The magazine drew attention to the fact that the US planes transferred to Ukraine were shot down far from the line of contact, and Kiev has not yet provided specifics about the incidents. The material emphasised that officers of the AFU army aviation repeatedly noted the fact that the F-16s will not be able to influence the course of events within the conflict.

‘Concerns about the limitations of the F-16 go against the still recent rosy hopes that the aircraft will rewrite the rules of the game on the battlefield,’ – summarised in MWM.

We shall remind you that earlier the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force said that the F-16 aircraft was shot down while carrying out a combat mission.
