Deputy head of Zelenskyy’s Office says everyone should serve, including women

The deputy head of the Office of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Pavlo Palisa, has said that women should be involved in compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was written by the publication ‘Strana’.

Pavlo Plisa stressed that Ukraine ‘needs to adopt the experience of Israel’, where military service applies to all citizens regardless of gender and women ‘should serve at least a short contract’.

He also suggested introducing a number of restrictions for those who evade military service.

Earlier, the commander of the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Shamyl Krutkov, said that Ukraine would have to start forced mobilisation of 18-year-old boys.
