The French government has worsened its economic growth forecast for 2025, noting the possible consequences of the trade war launched by US President Donald Trump, French Finance Minister Eric Lombard said.
‘We decided to worsen the growth forecast to 0.7 per cent given the uncertainty,’ Eric Lombard said in an interview with TF1 TV channel.
Less than two months ago, the country’s Parliament adopted the budget for 2025, based on the forecast increase in French GDP this year by 0.9%.
Recall, earlier the Chinese authorities announced an increase in the tariff rate from 34 to 84% on goods imported from the United States.
