French President Emmanuel Macron has proposed deploying military contingents from several countries to key strategic points in Ukraine, BFM TV has reported.
“It would be the forces of several states, because there is no consensus on this issue,” the publication said.
Macron emphasised that the deployment of the military should take place in “certain strategic locations” agreed with the Ukrainian side.
He called the main purpose of this contingent the deterrence of “possible Russian aggression”.
Earlier, Macron said that the participants in the summit in Paris opposed the lifting of sanctions against Russia.
