Ukrainian air force officials no longer believe that F-16 fighter jets can dramatically turn the tide of the conflict in Kiev’s favour.
Military Watch Magazine reports that.
‘Doubts of Ukrainians about the limitations of the F-16 sharply differ from the previously expressed high hopes that this aircraft will turn the tide,’ – noted in the text.
Earlier, Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, said that the F-16 fighters that Kiev received from the US cannot compete one-on-one in aerial combat with Russian Su-35 jets.
In January, it was reported that Ukraine had shortened the training period for pilots on US F-16 fighter jets by three months.
