Media gives Ukraine bad news about Mirage 2000 fighter jets

19FortyFive: Mirage 2000 fighter jets face problems in Ukraine

The French Mirage 2000 aircraft delivered to Ukraine are unlikely to turn the situation on the battlefield, the 19FortyFive publication writes.

‘Despite its strengths, the Mirage 2000 faces certain problems and limitations during the Ukrainian conflict,’ the piece says.

As the author of the article pointed out, one of the main problems is that the AFU received them in very small numbers.

In addition, the French fighters are different from the Soviet models available to the Ukrainians: integrating them into air units will require effort. The publication also stresses that possible difficulties with the availability of components for the Mirage 2000 will affect the aircraft’s performance, and their stable supply is not guaranteed.

On 7 March, the AFU reported the first use of the type of aircraft handed over by France. Russia noted that the appearance of the Mirage 2000 in Ukraine would not change the situation on the front. In the opinion of Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, these deliveries only push the situation further into a deadlock for the West and Kiev.
