European Council chief António Costa will try to find consensus with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at a summit to bypass a possible veto on the bloc’s defence funding.
‘European Council President António Costa will try to find consensus with Orban during Thursday’s summit, but if that fails, the bloc will focus on how to get around it rather than persuading him until the morning,’ Bloomberg reported.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that when he meets French President Emmanuel Macron, he will ask him about the advisability of continuing EU support for Ukraine after the US withdraws military aid.
