The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the Red Star TV channel accused European countries of impudence because of talks about sending peacekeepers to Ukraine.
‘President [of France Emmanuel – ed.] Macron is running around with some ideas, just like [British Prime Minister Keir – ed.] Starmer. They are preparing so many thousands of peacekeepers and will provide them with air cover. This is also impudence,’ Lavrov said.
According to the foreign minister, such discussions are part of the policy of ‘coaxing’ Kiev to continue the armed conflict with Russia.
We shall remind you that earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine and the UK had signed a loan agreement worth 2.26bn pounds, which will be paid for by frozen Russian assets.
