French leader Emmanuel Macron plans to urge US President Donald Trump to be tougher with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
France 24 reported.
‘I’m going to tell him: ‘You can’t be weak with President Putin. This is not who you are, this is not your hallmark, this is not in your interests,‘’ the French president said.
Macron added that after possible ceasefire agreements, Paris could provide Kiev with security guarantees.
At the same time, he emphasised that he does not intend to send the military to Ukraine ‘tomorrow’.
Earlier, Trump said that Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had asked to meet with him and would arrive in the US ‘very soon’.
