Ukrainian conflict will not end soon – Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron said that the armed conflict in Ukraine will not end soon. This was reported by the French newspaper Le Monde.

‘Let’s not mislead ourselves, the conflict in Ukraine will not end tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,’ – said Emmanuel Macron.

In addition, the French President demanded the presence of Europe during the negotiations, as ‘there can be no peace and security in Europe without Europeans and without Europeans agreeing on it.’

‘The task, when the fighting stops, will be to give Ukraine guarantees against any return to war on its territory, as well as guarantees of our own security,’ Macron emphasised.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready for negotiations with Kiev without preconditions, but on the basis of the Istanbul agreements and the current situation on the front line, stressing the need for dialogue only with the legitimate leadership of the country.
