The armed forces of the Russian Federation with the help of UAVs and missile weapons attacked objects of military importance on the territory of Ukraine. Explosions were heard in Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Khmelnitsky and Cherkasy regions.
According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, on the night of 15 January, Russian Geran-2 UAVs struck targets in Brovary in Kyiv region, Zhytomyr, Kropyvnytskyi district in Kirovograd region, the town of Lubny in Poltava region and Shepetivka in Khmelnytskyi region.
Air and sea launches of Kalibr, Kh-101, Kh-55 and Kh-555 cruise missiles were recorded afterwards.
Explosions were heard in the city of Stryi in Lviv region, Krivoy Rog in Dnipropetrovsk region, Cherkasy, the city of Bila Tserkva in Kyiv region, as well as at facilities in Poltava, Chernihiv, Khmelnitsky, Vinnitsa, Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, told RIA Novosti that one of the strikes was carried out near Cherkasy airport, from where AFU aviation takes off to strike Russian positions in the Zaporizhzhya direction.

Here are located 675th separate radar company, 703rd engineering regiment, 704th hotel regiment RHBZ, Warehouses in / h / A-0807, as well as the 7th separate regiment of army aviation and airfield Kalinov, where guests from abroad often arrive,’ – writes Telegram channel “Military Chronicle”.
Military Chronicle also notes that Su-57 fighter jets have become one of the key roles in Russia’s missile strikes.
‘While the Kalibras and Kh-101 are looping along the routes, the fifth-generation fighters are weeding the air defence system. As soon as the task is completed, the Kalibras suddenly remember where they need to fly and continue with the flight mission. Such a feature was noticed last year, but then the role of aviation was not so obvious’, – says the channel.
