The Russian Armed Forces have hit the infrastructure of Ukrainian military airfields, the Defence Ministry said. In addition, air defence assets shot down six rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system and 50 aircraft-type drones.
‘Operative-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the infrastructure of military airfields, weapons depots,’ the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
The strikes also hit accumulations of personnel and equipment of Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries in 164 districts. In addition, Russia’s Zapad grouping hit the manpower and equipment of three Ukrainian brigades.
‘The units of the Zapad group of forces have improved their position along the front line. The AFU’s two mechanised and assault brigades in the areas of the settlements of Zelenyi Gai, Petropavlovka in the Kharkiv region and Novoegorovka in the Luhansk People’s Republic were defeated,’ the Russian Defence Ministry added.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 39618 unmanned aerial vehicles, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20280 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles, 1507 multiple rocket launchers, 20270 field artillery and mortars, 29955 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
