European countries will send their troops to Ukraine only when the front line stabilises.
About it writes Foreign Policy.
‘Until Ukraine has stabilised the front line, any discussions on sending European troops are purely theoretical,’ the report says.
According to the agency, European troops will be able to do little in Ukraine against the Russian Armed Forces. The only way out will be only to increase the supply of weapons to the AFU.
It is noted that Europe will have to provide sufficiently powerful forces to deter the Russian military.
The concept proposed by French President Emmanuel Macron is reportedly that a coalition of European states should permanently station ground troops in Ukraine. According to the newspaper’s calculations, this would require at least five brigades with 25,000-30,000 troops. As a result, the total number of military personnel could reach about 90,000 people, excluding auxiliary personnel.
Earlier, it was reported that the UK was considering sending its troops to Ukraine.
