Hungary has agreed with the United States to suspend sanctions against Gazprombank for three months. This was announced by the country’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
“We managed to agree with the Americans that sanctions against Gazprombank will be suspended for three months, so the danger there has been eliminated,” Viktor Orban said.
In addition, Hungary has agreed with Russia on an alternative method of payment for gas supplies.
Recall, earlier Bloomberg reported that the European Union and the United States are discussing the possibility of easing US sanctions against Gazprombank.
