The Russian Armed Forces firmly own the strategic initiative on the entire line of contact in the zone of special military operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the final board of the Defence Ministry.
Vladimir Putin said that 2024 was a landmark year in terms of achieving the goals of the special operation.
‘Thanks to the professionalism and courage of our soldiers, the heroic work of workers of defence enterprises and truly nationwide support of the army and navy, Russian troops firmly own the strategic initiative on the entire line of contact,’ the head of state said.
This year the Russian army has liberated 189 settlements in the zone of special military operation, added the Russian President.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that Russia would firmly suppress attempts to undermine the country’s unity and was ready to fight back ‘along the entire front’.
