Russia agreed to a large-scale prisoner swap with Ukraine over Christmas and Kiev refused, but there is still hope.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said, he was quoted by TASS as saying.
‘One side agreed, the other apparently refused, but the possibility still remains,’ the politician said.
According to him, a mass exchange of prisoners between the parties to the conflict ‘could make hundreds or thousands of people happy.’
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin considered Orban’s proposal for a truce in Ukraine on Christmas Day.
