US President-elect Donald Trump has said in an interview with Time magazine that he opposes the Ukrainian Armed Forces striking Russian territory with US missiles.
“I think the most dangerous thing now is what is happening: Zelenskyy has decided – as I believe, with the approval of the US president [Joe Biden. – ed.] – to start firing missiles at Russia. I think this is a serious escalation. I think it’s a stupid decision,” Donald Trump said.
The politician added that he plans to use US aid to Ukraine as leverage against Russia in negotiating an end to the conflict.
“I want to reach an agreement. The only way to reach an agreement is not to quit”, – said the American President.
