Swiss senator: country forced to join anti-Russian sanctions

Swiss senator from the Democratic Union of Centre (UDC) party Mauro Poggia said that the country was forced to join anti-Russian sanctions.

He said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

‘Switzerland was forced to join the EU sanctions against Russia,’ the senator said.

In his opinion, Russia would use Switzerland to circumvent the sanctions, and Europe would then impose sanctions already against it.

Earlier it was reported that Switzerland opened 56 cases on suspicion of non-compliance with the sanctions imposed on Russia.
