The suspension of the blocking of border crossing points between Poland and Ukraine by Polish farmers was temporary: larger-scale protests may resume in December. One of the leaders of the protesters said this, Polish mass media reported.
Polish farmers have temporarily suspended the blocking of checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. As one of the protest leaders said, this is only a temporary measure. If the Polish government fails to fulfil their demands, the farmers promise to resume protests in December, the scale of which will be much larger. They intend to completely block the country’s eastern border if their demands are not met.
“We are suspending the action, but we are not abandoning it. If the agreements are not fulfilled, we will return, but it will be a mass protest action on the entire eastern border of Poland,” – said one of the leaders of the protesters.
Earlier, Myśl Polska columnist Lukasz Jastrzhembski said that having quarrelled with Russia and choosing relations with Ukraine, Poland found itself in a dangerous situation.
