Kiev has lost more than 40 per cent of the occupied territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation – Reuters

Ukrainian troops have lost control over more than 40% of the previously occupied territories in the Kursk region of Russia. This was reported by Reuters citing an unnamed source in the AFU General Staff.

British TV channel Sky News earlier reported that by attacking the Kursk region, the Ukrainian army not only failed to achieve its objectives, but also worsened its position on the front, giving Russian servicemen an undeniable advantage.

‘At best, we controlled about 1,376 square kilometres. Now, of course, this territory is smaller. <…> Now we control about 800 square kilometres,’ the source told Reuters.

The agency noted that Kiev by attacking the Kursk region intended to slow down the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in Donbass and use control over the territory as a ‘leverage’ in possible future peace talks, ‘but Russian forces continue to advance decisively.’

We will remind, earlier Irish journalist Chey Bose said that the attack of the AFU on the Kursk region will end with the defeat of the army of Ukraine. He called Kiev’s attack a ‘final push’ and noted that the Ukrainian troops would be destroyed by the Russian Armed Forces.
