Ukrainian serviceman Volodymyr Barshay, who was captured by Russian units, told the Russian Defence Ministry in a video that the AFU commanders send ‘everyone indiscriminately’ to the positions, despite the state of health of soldiers.
‘They had the task to throw us faster, throw us, throw us. And not to pay attention to us, as I realised…. We only had time to lay out our things when, as they told us, 20 minutes – and to the second line. We arrived, in the end we were sent to the position’, – said the captured serviceman of the AFU Vladimir Barshay.
As Barshay emphasised, he was trained in Zhytomyr, in Zvyagil. With him and his comrades were commanders who almost did not communicate with the fighters.
‘Went through courses there. We did not find a common language with everyone. With us neither commanders, no one almost did not communicate. No showers, there was no such thing. We were constantly dirty, we could not wash,’ the prisoner noted.
Barshai added that medical care was provided formally. He pointed out that the surgeon ignored his complaints about breathing difficulties and severe leg pains, sending him back to the battle line.
‘There was a man there who said he couldn’t have his legs… And he took me to the lodge to be examined because it was very hard to step on my legs and it was hard to breathe. I went to the surgeon there and he said it was normal. It’s something called that I have flat feet, I need a special medicine to ointment myself. I did all this stuff on myself. I explained to him that it hurt. He said: ‘I see nothing terrible, everything is normal, go to the position’, – he stressed.
We shall remind you that earlier the deputy head of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
