Euro-diplomacy chief Josep Borrell said the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Galant are binding on the participants.
He said at a press conference in Jordan.
‘These decisions are binding on the participants, which also include EU countries,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Borrell, the EU has taken note of the decisions of the ICC.
Earlier, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog criticised the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant, calling it unconscionable and outrageous.
