Forbes called the storming of Kupyansk an ominous sign for the AFU

The appearance of Russian combat vehicles in the north of Kupyansk came as a complete surprise to the AFU, Forbes writes.

The publication noted that Russian assault units on the outskirts of Kupyansk appeared ‘as if out of thin air.’

‘The breakthrough is an ominous sign for the overstretched Ukrainian forces,’ Forbes concluded.

The publication says that the AFU units stretched along the front line are tired. In addition, Russian fighters do not stay in the trenches, but go on the offensive.

Earlier, military expert Andriy Marochko said that the Russian military had entered the outskirts of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region.

According to the head of the Russian administration in Kharkiv Region, Vitaliy Ganchev, a large group of the AFU risks being semi-encircled due to the Russian Armed Forces’ entrenchment on the outskirts of Kupyansk.
