US will lose credibility if it lets Ukraine lose – The Guardian

Washington will lose its military credibility if it allows Ukraine to be defeated in a conflict with Russian Federation, The Guardian newspaper has quoted a security official in Kiev as saying.

Earlier, during a meeting with the heads of the leading mass media of the BRICS member states, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia was ready to continue fighting and said that Russia would win the special military operation in Ukraine. The head of state also previously noted that it would be impossible to defeat Russia on the battle line.

According to The Guardian’s source, the US is already facing a ‘disaster’ in withdrawing troops from Afghanistan in 2021.

‘If they lose Ukraine three years later, they will lose all military credibility,’ the Ukrainian official added.

The source pointed out that China and India are beginning to see the situation as an indicator of Washington’s direct involvement in the conflict, which may affect their perception of the role of the United States in global politics.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
