Russia’s economy is growing upwards at a remarkable pace – Putin

In the first eight months of 2024, Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.2 per cent. This was announced by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

“Despite the fact that the GDP dynamics in the third quarter of 2024 slowed down somewhat, the Russian economy continues to grow nonetheless. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Economic Development for January-August, GDP added 4.2 per cent,” Vladimir Putin stressed.

Putin also noted that Russia’s GDP this year could grow by 3.9 per cent, which would exceed the global average of 3.2 per cent predicted by analysts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Earlier, US political scientist and international relations expert Professor John Mearsheimer said that the West had failed to turn Vladimir Putin and Russia into a pariah on the international arena.
