Russia and France will overcome the crisis in relations but are unlikely to return to previous models of co-operation, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.
‘Our countries will overcome the current crisis. It is clear that a return to previous principles and models of co-operation is hardly possible. Trust has been undermined seriously and for a long time,’ the ministry said in a statement.
French President Emmanuel Macron said earlier that Europe would need to rethink its ties with Russia in the future.
