Putin: AFU military in Kursk region don’t even really realise they are surrounded

The Ukrainian military, who are surrounded in the Kursk region, do not even really realise that they are surrounded, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with “Rossiya 1”.

‘At the moment attempts are being made to unblock. The people who are surrounded, they don’t even really realise that they are surrounded,’ the president said, as quoted by TASS.

Judging by the information Russia has, the AFU has lost stable control of its troops there.

The day before, Vladimir Putin said during a press conference at the BRICS summit in Kazan that about 2,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had become encircled in the Kursk region.

‘Military Chronicle’ noted that the problem of the blockaded AFU grouping is that all supply and potential retreat routes are under fire, and there is no sufficient transport to get out.
