In France evict Ukrainian refugees from housing – Le Monde

French authorities have started the process of evicting Ukrainian refugees from the housing, which they were provided free of charge two years ago, the French newspaper Le Monde reported.

Refugees are offered to ‘independently engage in the search for a suitable housing solution for them’.

Local authorities explained that during their stay in the country, refugees had the opportunity to find work and start paying for housing on their own. The author of the article in Le Monde newspaper wrote that Ukrainians are ‘furious’ at such rhetoric.

However, local authorities don’t seem to care. In the prefecture of Meurthe and Moselle said that ‘the state has no obligations to such people to provide them with permanent housing’.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Kateryna Pavlichenko, said that Ukrainians who refuse to leave Sumy Region and wait for the arrival of Russian troops will have their children forcibly taken away and exported.
