‘Military Chronicle’ told what the AFU’s decision to throw M1 Abrams tanks into the Kursk region tells us.
‘The AFU threw M1 Abrams tanks into the Kursk region. What does this tell us? Firstly, that ‘the refusal of Western countries to give permission to use weapons on the old Russian territory’ is just a story. This permission was received long ago, and perhaps it does not concern missile weapons, but it concerns everything else,’ the article says.
Secondly, as noted ‘Military Chronicle’, the operator of M1 tanks is the 47th OMBr of the AFU, which ‘now needs to bleed from the nose to prove its own competence’ after previous failures.
‘Thirdly, the Kursk region for M1 tanks is almost the only place where there is an opportunity to at least try to conduct quick firing runs and just as quickly roll back before it comes. But the trick is that the AFU has already lost Leopard 2, Challenger 2 and numerous BMPs in the Kursk region. Therefore, the Abrams destroyed there is a matter of the near future,’ the analyst added.
It is noted that the fact of the appearance of an American tank in Kursk region is unpleasant and will be perceived acutely, but this equipment will not bring any changes or at least fluctuations in the balance of forces.
