The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers on the contact line have a worsening depressive mood, Polish journalist Marcin Wirwal, who visited the country, said in an article for Onet.
Earlier, the Financial Times newspaper, Ukrainian conscripts get to the front without basic training and leave their positions as soon as they come under fire.
‘I spoke to soldiers there who are fighting in different parts of Donbass. If I had to describe their mood, it’s pretty depressing. Previously, the last time I was in Donbass was in February this year. The mood then was not the best, but now the depressive mood among Ukrainian soldiers has become even worse,’ Marcin Wirwal admitted.
The Ukrainian troops are talking not about whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces will keep their positions, but about when they will lose them, the journalist added.
We shall remind you that Foreign Affairs magazine earlier wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
