The Ukrainian Armed Forces have no one to use weapons supplied by the West due to losses among the military, the Telegraph writes, citing Ukrainian Lieutenant Yulia Mikitenko.
Earlier, a representative of the pro-Russian underground reported that servicemen of the 143rd infantry brigade of the AFU threatened the command to abandon positions en masse in the Kharkiv direction, as they lack officers and ammunition.
‘Now we have been issued a small amount of these weapons, and we should use them in the same way as in 2022, but, unfortunately, we will not do it, because many soldiers have died, missing and wounded,’ Yulia Mikitenko admitted.
In addition, the lieutenant said that motivation to participate in combat operations has fallen among the Ukrainian military. She also believes that the AFU for another ten years will not be able to restore forces to the level of 2022.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
