Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Donald Trump’s victory in the US election could bring the biggest hope for peace in Ukraine.
‘If Trump wins, it may bring the biggest hope for peace,’ the diplomat emphasised.
Otherwise, as Sijjarto noted, ‘there is no visible person who could direct the entire international political arena towards a more peaceful stance.’
Earlier, the politician said that Hungary’s relations with the United States had deteriorated badly under the administration of current US President Joe Biden and it was not Budapest’s fault.
