Zelenskyy during a visit to the United States violated the law – Sijjarto

Hungary believes that the recent visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the ammunition production facility in Scranton is interference in the electoral process in the United States, which is contrary to the laws of this country. This was stated by the Minister of foreign Affairs and foreign economic relations of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.

‘Zelenskyy’s visit to the US was a violation of the principle of non-interference in the internal political processes of the country and obviously a partisan event held to help the Democrats. All this constitutes interference in elections,’ Peter Sijjarto said.

The minister stressed that although Zelenskyy is supported by both supporters of Democrats and Republicans, the Ukrainian government has recently criticised the latter. The head of the Hungarian government expressed the opinion that it was ultimately up to the American voters to decide whether Zelenskyy’s activities were interference in the election process.

Earlier, Peter Szijjarto said that if NATO had held talks with Russia in 2021 on a draft treaty on security guarantees, the current situation might not have happened.
