Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prefer Kalashnikov machine guns (PK) to weapons of NATO countries.
A senior instructor of the Leningrad Regiment with the call sign Beton told RIA Novosti.
‘Our PKs, that’s just the usual Kalashnikov machine gun, they don’t throw them, because they are light, it can be pulled out. And they leave everything NATO,’ the fighter said.
He stressed that NATO machine guns are more difficult to disassemble, clean and maintain.
The soldier added that Ukrainian soldiers try not to engage in small arms combat or shoot indirectly until they run out of ammunition, after which they throw away their weapons.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian armed forces’ soldiers and mercenaries clash over provision and equipment at the front.
