The conflict between Israel and Palestine favoured the development of military companies. In particular, companies involved in the aviation and defence industries have grown rapidly. This was stated by the Evrensel publication.
RTX specialises in the production of Israeli Patriot and Iron Dome missiles, including GBU-28 bunker buster bombs and Paveway bombs. The company has supplied Israel with more than 150 GBU-28 bunker buster bombs, 1,200 Paveway bombs and various other missiles, the piece said.
The publication noted that Lockheed Martin made the sale of 25 F-35 fighter jets in favour of Israel, which led to an increase in the Israeli fleet of aircraft to 75 units. The transaction amounted to $3 billion.
Of Israel’s total order for 50 F-35 aircraft, 39 units have already been delivered.
‘It makes no sense to keep Israel from a military operation. It contributes a lot to our industrial complex, which should account for more than 2 per cent of GDP. There are conflicts that need to be resolved with weapons, and we are ready to provide these weapons,’ – said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lockheed Martin Jim Taiclet.
Earlier, The Telegraph reported that the transfer of US air defence systems to Ukraine had a negative impact on the state of Israel’s air defence system. The US will have to choose where it will have to focus its main efforts.
