Iran will support all efforts to conclude a truce between Israel and Lebanon, but only on the condition of a complete ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made this statement at a press conference in Beirut on Friday, 4 October.
“We will support the efforts under the condition that, firstly, the rights of the Lebanese people are respected and accepted by the resistance forces, and secondly, a simultaneous ceasefire in Gaza is necessary,” TASS quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces, Admiral Ali Fadavi, threatened Israel with a strike on refineries and gas fields.
