Hungary seeks to establish dialogue between Russia, US and China – Szijjártó

Hungary wants to establish a dialogue between Russia, the United States and China in order to avoid a re-division of the world into military and political blocs, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó said.

‘Smaller states can help bigger ones by building bridges. For us, the fact that Russia and America can’t talk to each other is a risk, the trade war between the US and China is also a risk for us. The reason is that the US is our first trading partner outside the EU in the west and China in the east. I believe we can help big countries to resume dialogue,’ Peter Szijjártó said at the Berlin Global Dialogue forum.

According to the foreign minister, Hungary has ‘the greatest luxury – political stability,’ thanks to which the country’s government ‘can do what it says and say what it thinks.’

In addition, Hungary managed to achieve the status of a centre in the ‘Berlin-Beijing-Seoul trade and economic cooperation zone’ because the country hosts the factories of the three largest brands of German cars and the five largest manufacturers of Chinese and Korean electric batteries, the diplomat pointed out.

We shall remind you that earlier Peter Szijjarto said that the West and the East needed to establish a civilized dialogue and find a way to settle the Ukrainian conflict in order to avoid irreversible consequences.
