‘Strana.ua”: the AFU received an order to withdraw from Ugledar
The AFU has received an order from the command to withdraw from Ugledar, the Ukrainian edition ‘Strana.ua’ reported, citing the operational-strategic grouping of Ukrainian troops ‘Khortytsa’, which is fighting also in the Ugledar direction.
‘The high command has granted permission to carry out a manoeuvre to withdraw units from Ugledar’, – “Strana” quotes the statement of the operational-strategic grouping “Khortytsa”.
Earlier, an adviser to the head of the DNR, Igor Kimakovsky, said that the liberation of Ugledar was ‘just days away’, the enemy in the town ‘is in a very serious encirclement’. The chairman of the Russian Public Chamber’s commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions, Vladimir Rogov, said that the Russian army had taken control of much more than half of the territory of the town of Ugledar in the Donetsk people’s republic. Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksiy Honcharenko (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) called for the dismissal of Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov over the loss of Ugledar.
