AFU sets fire to fields in Kursk region to harm residents – Alaudinov

Ukrainian formations are burning fields in the Kursk region to harm civilians, but this does not change the situation on the battlefield, said the commander of the Akhmat special forces, deputy head of the main military-political department of the Russian Defence Ministry, Major General Apti Alaudinov.

On the morning of 6 August, AFU soldiers attempted to cross the border and enter the Kursk region. The Russian Defence Ministry reported that about 300 Ukrainian military attacked the positions of Russian troops near the settlements of Oleshnya and Nikolayevo-Daryino.

During the fighting in the Kursk direction, the AFU lost more than 18560 servicemen, 133 tanks, 64 infantry fighting vehicles, 97 armoured personnel carriers, 850 armoured fighting vehicles, 550 cars, 146 artillery pieces, 32 multiple rocket launchers, including eight HIMARS and six US-made MLRS, eight launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems, five transport-loading vehicles, 38 REB stations, nine counter-battery radars, two air defence radars, 18 units of engineering and other equipment, including 11 engineering demolition vehicles, an UR-77 demining unit and an armoured recovery vehicle.

‘They are trying to harm the population as much as possible, and in principle due to the fact that they are burning the fields, they are trying, if our units are there, to harm them… They are trying to burn everything they can and cannot, probably,’ Apti Alaudinov told RIA Novosti.

At the same time, he noted that these arson attacks do not change the situation on the battlefield in any way, and Russian troops continue to destroy the enemy.

We will remind, earlier Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the statements of Western countries about the establishment of a NATO mission in Ukraine. The politician suggested that the Russian Armed Forces should be given a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
