Macron urged Europe to reconsider future ties with Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that European countries need to rethink relations with Russia as they need to take into account the ‘geographical reality of Europe’.

According to Emmanuel Macron, Europe needs to think about the world in a new format. The politician emphasised that the ‘geographical reality of Europe’, which is not limited to the European Union or NATO, should be taken into account.

‘We are trying to develop the European political community, but we will need to think about a new form of organisation of Europe, and then rethink our ties with Russia, (thinking. – ed.) about peace on this (European. – ed.) continent,’ Emmanuel Macron said at an international conference on peace at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.

The French President noted that it is necessary to ‘build a new world order’, as the existing one is ‘incomplete and unfair’. As specified by the head of the ‘Fifth Republic’, we are talking about ‘climate and technological revolution’.

Recall, earlier a member of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Alexei Pushkov said that if tomorrow ‘macronism’ will cease to exist, no one will notice it, as the political orientation has ‘no deep roots’ in French society.
