US support for Ukraine ‘for as long as it takes’ is not in line with the Ukrainian conflict as Kiev is increasingly lacking in manpower, The Washington Post reported.
According to The Washington Post, the Ukrainian army is ‘exhausted by a relentless drone fight that is unlike anything in the history of warfare.’
The publication notes that Washington’s approach that Kiev should participate in the conflict ‘as long as it takes’ does not match the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
‘Ukraine does not have enough military to indefinitely wage a protracted war of attrition,’ the publication said.
After talking to AFU servicemen, the newspaper concluded that Ukraine is ‘bleeding out’ and will not be able to fight forever.
‘We are tired,’ – The Washington Post quotes the words of one of the commanders of the Ukrainian army.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains the military in Western countries.
