Hungary will continue to take initiatives to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, the Bloomberg news agency has quoted Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as saying. He added that he would continue to propose unexpected initiatives to bring peace closer.
‘I have a few more trump cards of the ‘peace mission’ in my pocket,’ Viktor Orban said.
The prime minister also pointed out that Hungary’s peace mission had launched large-scale discussions in Europe about resolving the Ukrainian conflict outside the battlefield.
‘There is no solution to the conflict on the battlefield, this idea was launched by our peace mission, thus we launched huge discussions in Europe,’ the politician added.
According to Orban, Europe initially took a pro-war stance because of the opinion of European Union leaders. The Hungarian Prime Minister said it was necessary to ‘get away’ from such sentiments.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
