Syrsky told about the ‘most problematic’ section of the front for the AFU

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandru Syrskyi said that the Pokrovska direction remains the ‘most problematic’ section of the front for the Ukrainian command.

‘In fact, the Pokrovskoye direction remains the most problematic for us,’ the AFU chief said in an interview with CNN.

At the same time, the AFU chief stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine ‘do everything possible’ not to lose Pokrovsk. According to him, Kiev has ‘strengthened its defensive capabilities’ in this direction.

At the same time, the Ukrainian military commander noted that delays with US military assistance ‘did cause serious setbacks’ on the battlefield and led to a ‘drop in morale’.

We shall remind you that on 3 August, Forbes magazine mentioned that units of the 59th, 68th, 117th and 15th brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces might find themselves ‘in a cauldron’ because of the Russian Army’s manoeuvres south of Pokrovsk.
