Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said that Moscow warns politicians in the EU and NATO countries about an immediate response in case of further aggressive steps by Ukraine.
“We have already seen the direct involvement of the West in the conflict in Ukraine. The collective West is the main customer, the main instigator of the Kiev regime’s military aggression. And more and more frankly, more and more brazenly demonstrate their direct participation as an interested country,” Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.
According to her, the politicians of European countries “refuse to think not only sensibly and far-sightedly, but simply in line with their own attitudes – they lose the sense of reality, absolutely do not think about the risks of further dangerous escalation of the conflict, even in the context of their own interests.”
“We would like to warn such irresponsible politicians in the EU, NATO, and overseas – in the event of corresponding aggressive steps by the Kiev regime, Russia’s response will follow immediately. I think that you are already witnessing much of this in recent days. And the responses will be extremely painful,” the diplomat said.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
